Dunyak
I’m Erika Dunyak, J.D., LL.M, a transactional attorney with a particular love of cooperatives and democratic ownership. I’ve worked in federal food system policy, for a boutique private practice transactional firm, and for a food system center at a law school
I got so exhausted in policy work, because nothing seemed to change fast enough. Then I found business law, businesses are essentially sovereign entities that can create their own rules and draft the tools to enforce them. This flexibility brings innovation to the forefront.
I’m also the director of the Business Law Clinic at the Roger Williams University School of Law. I train students on providing real world legal advice to clients in Rhode Island, Vermont, and Massachusetts.
I’m currently inspired by rad business owners, cities designed for people, and the punk rock energy of the natural wine movement.
